- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account
- Profile information — your location (suburb or city), bio, and profile photo (if added)
- Dog information — your dogs' names, breeds, sizes, ages, and photos (if added)
- Walk data — walks you create, RSVPs you make, and conversations you send
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to operate the PawPals service:
- To create and manage your account
- To display your profile and dog information to other users of the app
- To show you relevant walks in your area
- To enable messaging between dog owners and walk organisers
- To attribute walks and RSVPs to your account
We do not use your information for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. Access to your data is protected by Row Level Security policies — you can only access your own private data.
Photos you upload are stored in secure cloud object storage. Profile photos, dog photos, and walk cover photos are accessible within the app by other PawPals users.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.
The following information is visible to other PawPals users as part of the service:
- Your name and profile photo
- Your location (suburb or city, as entered by you)
- Your bio
- Your dogs' names, breeds, sizes, and photos
- Walks you have created and walks you have RSVPd to
- Messages you send within a conversation
6. Children's Privacy
PawPals is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing jakeveen2000@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account. We will process your request and permanently delete your data within 30 days.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- The right to access the data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to withdraw consent at any time
